Crazy Buy

My colleague seems to have gone mad. He's done a crazy thing - bought a new car on a credit card! Well, I do believe in his strong credit history and responsibility as a cardholder but why use a plastic when he has the cash necessary for the purchase?
The thing is his American Express credit card has a high limit and a lavish rewards program. Dawson plans to benefit from it.
He buys on credit just for the sake of rewards, not because for the lack of cash at hand.
Do you think it is a good idea?

Control the Cold

I've been to Europe once and it was summer. But all my friends warn me - do not go skiing without thermal clothing, it is terribly cold there in Switzerland.
Well, I guess they do not have an idea how cold it is in Russia now. A distant relative living in Russia says that they are nearly frozen there. I guess, I won't feel the same but just in case I'll get myself one of these very warm things.
You think of it, too, if you are going to deal with snow.

Open the Season...Safely

I cant leave the idea of going to Switzerland to the ski resort. I even bought myself alpine skis to open the season and try the best i can do on the ski tracks. Though I'm a summer child, I adore snow and the pricking winter air freezing my face when I'm going downhill...
Next week is going to be just fantastic as i'll leave for Switzerland together with my close friends to stay in a nice cote and enjoy the sunny winter days, conquering the top of a most steep hill...

My Best Wish

As the holiday is not far off, I find myself thinking what changes I would like to see in the next, new year. They say wishes come true and if i were to make one, i would ask Santa to pay off my car loan and credit card debt (*lol*).
However, these dreams are not attainable without my own hard work. One's best wish requires hard efforts to realize unless you are in a fairy land... what do you think?

Holiday time is coming soon...

As the Thanksgiving has passedI know - it was only a warm-up...Christmas is coming so very soon that I see this word in the streets and christmas trees are already in the shop windows. Year after year, I realize more and more that this is not quite holiday, but the time for mind blowing spendings. People seem to be obsessed with buying, they buy everything they see... I wish there were no christmas. Joke))
Of course I love XS and I'm going to buy as many presents as possible. So many that I need a credit card for this, I'm afraid. I found a good site with credit card deals to compare and order. And to my surprise, there is an article devoted to holidaytime credit card tips - the basic principle is frugality and wisdom. These two are not about me, though...
Haven't chosen the card yet, but I already have got a list of presents)))

Natural beauty is better?

I spent three days at home (incredible!)and what do you think I've been doing? Watching the box! Don't blame me for that, I haven't done this for ages))) Films, shows, series... not for me. What I watched was a channel for women and fashion channel - they kept me on the sofa for hours! I have no idea why: probably, I'm getting older)))
So.. the question that I'm thinking over is the following: is it better to stay natural or you should use all themodern inventions to improve your appearance as much as possible? Plastic surgery, tatoos, fake hair and lashes, acrylic nails... Many women choose to be artificially beautiful.
My mom has recently made tatoo make-up - a tatooist has done a make-up that lasts a year or so. She looks great and she doesn't have to make up every morning. She look natural, though, it is practically unnoticeable that she has some paint on her face.
In her case a little help from a cosmetician is OK.
But why do people try to change everything on their face just to look like Naomi or Demi? Why do they want to have green eyes instead of blue, why?
My personal point of view is that if God gave you attractive or just nice appearance, it is almost a sin to change it. If you really need improvement (your face distorted or you are bald), then, well, go and make it!
It is very interesting what any of you think about this? Share your opinions, please))

Scaring Movie

Helloween is gone but the feeling of insuperable fear is still hovering over after i watched the movie by Rob Zombi. What cruelty, no - atrocity, can be fostered in a small child when he practices murdering on animals first and then realizes his hidden craving for blood and violence on people.
And these people are not just strangers or neighbours, but they are his family! The picture is really grave and dreary, stuffed with bloody and hair-raising scenes. The viewrs were shocked - the Helloween was a success.

No Despair Losing Your Job

One of my friends has lost her well-paid job due to health problems. She is totally frustrated, cherishing no hope for getting back on feet. She is especially despaired at the fact that she thinks she's lost access to credit.
But are Miranda's fears justified? Well, if I were in her shoos, I would probably be the same uneasy. But! Wait a minute, credit cards for the unemployed are not a miracle! You can save your eligibility for credit if you follow some useful rules.
If you are in a similar situation, be sure that creditors will try to make everything to keep you their customer. Only, beware pitfalls.

You are Never Late to Learn

I've always thought I'm a wise and practical driver but my ex-bf proved me I waste huge amounts on my car just out of the ignorance of some plain facts. First thing Jim pointed out was I get premium gas instaed of regular. He wonders, why not take regular if it doesn't make my vehichle knock? Second - I am used to going to my dealer in need of major services. But they nearly rob you! Independent shops are the same good and much cheaper at the same time. I also use my dealer for oil changes which is not too good, either.
Now, and it was a surprise for me - I should forget about changing my antifreeze every winter but only when the hydrometer suggests...
Well, have you heard of such things? Now that I've learnt them, it seems to me I always new about them...

Legal Robbing

It seems to me the more I read about some financial issues (on credit cards in particular), the more inclined I become to air my point of view on some of them. Just recently I've learnt about debt collectors who are misusing their authority to make more revenues out of debtors. They continue the collection practice even if you are a victim of credit card fraud and what's more, they raise the rates.
What about protecting consumers rights? Is credit card debt a good reason enough to make lawlessness and humiliate civil rights? Happily, these questions have occupied lawmakers' minds and they promis a new law. Ley's wait and see...

Volcano Eruptions Thrilling

Have you ever seen a volcano erupting? It is a fascinating and at the same time terrifying sight. I've seen a picture of an eruption and it made me sorry I didn't watch it with my own eyes!
It took the lives of three people, however, and this remainds me that this natural phenomena should be fought - not enjoyed...

What a Drag!

So much time and effort does it take to find a cheap car insurance! It's just great that there are lots of web sites where I can copmare quotations and requirements... I was surprised that the fewer miles you plan to drive - the cheaper your car insurance! what's more, if you have a garage, you also can count on lower rates...

Financing my Auto

After hard work of erasing a couple of mistakes that miraculously appeared on my credit report, I managed to get a car loan for a new vehicle at last. Now i'm not going to repeate my previous failures with car maintenance. And for this I've set my mind on making some of the Gasoline credit card deals avaolable on the market which are offered specially to cut gas expenses you carry.
Apart from gas credit cards, I can also choose among special rewards credit card offers which help you save points to redeem for yet another auto...That's great!

Yeah, the idea of opening a section with a cookery book has been chasing me for quite long but now I see it, that it is something not really my interest. But I've always wanted to have a blog devoted to a particular topic. So that I can communicate with people, share experience with them and get good advice on what i am mostly interested in.
I've been keeping it a secret but now I'm ready to present a new blog of mine - Ghostrider I call it.
The creation of the new blog was promted by my special love for cars, and what's more, I'm going to buy one. If anyone is interested in autos, too, you are welcome...

A Good Cook

I've just guessed that among the most successful web blogs are those that are devoted to cooking. Bloggers offer new, self-created receipts and share their experiences on making exotic dishes...And people like it! The attendance of such blogs is really very high and they are sure to bring you more web friends.
So, I'm also planning to open a new section on my blog - something like a cookery book online. Hope, you will like it and share with me the best you know.

Changes for the Best

I got a new credit card in my mailbox the other day and the offer does seem to be much more enticing than the one I'm using now. So, proposed by an interesting article on Negotiating a better credit card deal, I tought "why not, as a good credit customer, try dictate my own conditions to my creditor, referring to the more attractive terms of the new card? I can eventully intimidate them with moving onto another company if they refuse to satisfy my request".

Well, your good or excellent credit rating comes out really very significant when you want to negotiate a more profitable credit card deal. The article proves it well...

Love and Tales

Hi, do you love fairy tales? I do. As a matter of fact I still preserve much of childish ways witn me. I am especiallly fond of Irish folklore, its love stories in particular. There is so much sentimentality, tenderness and romance in them, I'm overfilled with emotions reading them...
By the way, if you are, too, fond of Irish love stories, you can visit the places described in the tales - all located in this wonderful place...
I've made up my mind to go there with my beloved to celebrate February, 14. I know it's long to wait, but its worth it...
It's great I have my AmEx airlines credit card and I have enough time to collect points for a free ticket...

A look is enough...

You must have noticed that, surfing throught he internet, whatever the purpose - buying something or learning new things, you plunge into an great amount of advertisement. And that's natural to see banners and text...
But what do say about it?

Great, isn't it? A very wise step from the creators of Credit-Land and thet do raise their selling! I think Internet should have more of suchlike ads, making it more interesting for us to surf and easier to make purchasing decisions...

I Do Appreciate

Well, I'm back at last and I've been missing my blog...And I've been also longing to say some words on it. Looking through my posts, I got convinced that my short articles are really read and appreciated.
I am really pleased and thankful to one person who has visited my blog a number of times and left her comments on my words. Thank you, Princess of Everything (and then some)for your attention to my stories and for your sound advice. I did give a thought to your opinion on my problem with boyfriends and now I'm in the process of decision.
I'm looking forward to you writing more as it gives me real pleasure to read you...

It Was a Blow

How do you usually keep informed or get new knowlwdge? Reading newspapers, magazines or encyclopaedia? As for me, I get half of information from Wikipedia - a worldwide known source of the most objective knowledge.
Most objective and reliable... until recently, I guess. I've been to a blog where they discussed the credibility of the source. It appeared, and I was astonished, a great many articles there were doubtful as to the facts.
what do you say? Can I still turn to it when needed?

I Dream. Others realize.

What a wedding was that! I was merely shocked by the luxury of the procession my closest friends were involved in. So many lights, flowers and music, it seems you are in a fairy tale. So many kisses and warm wishes...
Seeing all this beauty, I realized - that is the wedding of my dream. It's time to make a firm decision concerning the two of my boy friends and it's time to start saving money, I guess +)
Getting married is not only flowers and kissess, it is a great responsibility for both - the bridegroom and the fiance...What do you think?

Surfing the internet in search of advice on how to best manage credit card debt that I've recently made, I learnt some great rules of fighting off bankruptcy. There have been many articles about it but this one seems to be the most comprehensive one with most sound pieces of advice.
If your debt is unmanageable and you are facing bankruptcy, you can easily turn to the article and draw some very useful advice there.

Making money with credit card

I've heard of some sound advice on how you can make a sum with an introductory 0% APR credit card wich is available with most big credit card issuers.
I haven't practiced it so far but some of my friends were a success and now i'm looking for a no interest rate credit card offer at the moment.
How do you make money with a 0% APR? You make a 4 or 5 % investment of the money on your credit card account and at the end of the year you can make as much as $1000!
It is rather a smart credit card management but there's one thing you need to remember. Keep the credit card account open but try not to pay with it, making only the minimum monthly payments.
If someone has had the experience already, please, share...

more on vacations

Well, it's so great when someone has an opportunity to go abroad on summer vacations but imagine that for the lack of money or some other reason you cannot go...What's left for you to do and how else can you entertain yourself, stying in?

If you really enjoy travellimg then the answer is - a road trip. Just imagine a luring journey in the beauty spots of the American unique nature and maybe you will find it not so depressing that you have to stay.

I live in Georgia, thus I've often taken the Appalachian trail said of as the longest and best-known hiking trail in the country and it is really so! If you take a long walk through the north woods of Maine all the way south to Georgia, the scenic roads will take you through the almost continuous natural beauty, covering a wealth of fascianting towns and historic sites.

I like it that the Appalachian landscape is a place of contrasts. It coveres some of the wealthiest and at the same time most needy areas in the country and they often sit very close to one another.
An every communiry is now as dependent on tourism as they were on their land and resources...

Running through the continuous nature, with barely a city to be found, the appalachian Trail is certainly the place to fascinate you and leave you with a great desite to repeat the trip...

summer is here, so what?

There are lots of reasons we're waiting for summer to come and among the most vivid ones is... vacations. We're very fond of travelling and the maine destinations still seems to be Europe. It's a fact, in summer Europe gets flooded with Americans.

Why are we so attracted by the Old World? Europe is still a mystery for us, combining the known and the unknown in major cities as well as in the countryside.

Italy, UK, France and the Vatican are among the traditional destinations and the main attractions for us with programs interesting for both unpretentious and sophisticated tourists.

We are getting more and more concerned with old cities' cultures, especially that of Italy and the chance to see the Pantheon and to taste the traditional Italian food - which is not spaghetty and meatballs by the way (find about it at Destination Italy )- as well as the opportunity to visit villages in Tuscany and Umbria all boost tickets booking by unbelievable rates.

Where are you going this summer? Europe is certainly the place to be! Forefathers of most of us come from te continent, so why not make a closer acquaintance with what it felt like for them?

Credit with Rewards

When I decided to to apply for credit card, I knew it should be the best one. So, I tried and was approved for American Express Blue sky credit card. I knew it very well that a reward credit card will bring most benefit for me and it didn't matter that it had a relatively high annual fee.
I just was very well credit educated and I realized that missing payments and carrying balances would reduce the advantages my amex gave me to zero.
So, what dod I do with my reward credit card? After about half a year of regular timely payments and putting nearly every item on the card, I managed to accumulate a number of points enough for a free ticket to New York! And what fun we had there with my friends!
Now, very soun advice for those looking to get a reward credit card. Mind it that credit card companies never do anything for free. Thus, you do pay for the privilege of enjoying credit card rewards through a high annual fee or other fees hidden in the fin print.
So, when tninking of such a credit card, make sure you really need it and you'll win with it but not lose.

more credit cards - more problems

Have you ever heard or experienced the so-called predatory policy of credit card issuers? If you have at lest once missed or delayed a payment on one of your credit cards, then very probably you have. What happens when you, maybe a good or even excellent credit card holder, forget about the basic rules of credit card management? Well, you most probably, like most Americans, use several credit cards at one time. and now imagine you miss a payment on one of them. the interest rate rises, it's natural. But you'll be shocked to know that the rates on all the other cards fly up, too! It would be very difficult to assume that you can pay them off at the moment and as you can't, you get into debt. Companies get you into debt in a forced manner! In short, they rob you. But, there's good news. As democrats and consumer communities are strongly agaist such an action and judge it as very unfair, all credit companies are reconsidering their policy. Now, however, if you want to apply for credit card and be sure in its stability, it's most likely to be Citibank credit card product as they claim their determination to go back on the predatory actions agaist their customerds.

find a home you deserve

I dare bet that almost half of my blog readers belong to the category of people looking for some programs to purchase a home of their own or at least pursue the dream of owing home. I remember myself taking all those steps to qualify for a house and those were hard times, really. The hit-and-miss method of making a capital didn't bring any good and I started with insufficient credit history for such a big purchase.

When I lost hope already, my friends were just here to tell me of the Affordable Housing Group which gives the latest information and most adequate consultations on resolving issues connected with purchasing a home and maintaining it.

It was then that i learned about such a term as Affordable Housing and it helped me decide on what sort of housing I can actually count.

Affordable housing implies that you purchase a house which total cost is affordable to those living in it. How do you know that you can really bear all those expenses? Well, it is very clearly explained by the housing non-profit organization, the National Low Income Housing Coalition which also informes you about the most affordable and least affordable places in the USA.

According to their guideline, you can afford a house if its monthly maintainance cost does not exceed 30% of your gross income. Note that the cost is calculated with the inclusion of taxes and ensurance of the owner and utilities. From time to time though, the data may change and you need to consult the housing organization.

With these numbers in head, after defining the approximate cost of your future home, you can start out searching for it. To make the house search easier for me, the Affordable Housing Group outlined the places for me with more and less affordable houses and also explained what the cost of the house depends on.
So, if you're in search of a dwelling now, mind it that in places where the demand for affordable houses is higher than the supply, the prices can be constantly changing and sometimes the house become unaffordable allready. And it is vexing, isn't it?
Let's delve into economics to understand why it happens. You see, because of the ever growing demand and people's strong desire and determination to own their own home, land values are always increasing and faster than you income does. Sometimes housing marketers can even make the housing supply more expensive at places affordable to below the average income customers.

Thus, you can simply be too late for a house. Not to miss the opportunity, keep getting information from the housing group and aim at increasing your income. See to it that you have a good credit history.
And the last piece of advice from me. Be very certain about what exactly you want. Define your demand for a home drawing from the following:
the cost of the house
the type of the house
location of the house.

Well, I hope that you will benefit from this post and it will really help you in your choice and purchase of the house.

If you want to clear out some point on how it all happend with me, feel free to ask questions in your comments.

Good luck to you.

watch out!

There was a comment once to one of my posts about a young man who applied for student credit card at college and only about half a year after that checked his credit rating. Well, it's not a very good thing to do in fact and once you got yourself a credit card and started to pay for it, you should always see to it that the credit tracking information in your credit file is correct. Or you run a high risk of having your rating damaged due to some odd mistakes which not infrequently appear in your report. Imagine that your credit card number were stolen and someone were using it for making purchases. If you do not heck your credit file reqularly, you may find out about it when a great amount of debt is accumulated... Do you want to pay for someone else? No! For this, watch your credit file and you'll be in the driver seat.

satisfaction from job - it's great...

Sometimes, when i think of my life and things that i've done, i find a strong desire to share my experience. That's partly the reason for creating the blog, btw. Well recently i began analyzing what i achieved and discovered that i'm utterly happy with my job - the job of designing homes... A couple of years ago, however, i worked as a financial consultant and i still take it sometimes as a part time job. But my real passion is designing. That's what i think is my mission and why i was concerned with financial matters is still mystery for me. I discovered gift for designing when helping my friend draw her future house. It was a pure accident but it brings great results and satifaction today...Now look into youself and ask honestly, is your current job really what you are best at? Maybe there's something else to look for, more satisfactory and profitable at the same time? Take your time and try to make a self discovery and share with us your revelation!

Treacherous Bank of America

Now, what do you say to the issuance of credit cards to illegal immigrants by Bank of America? Aren't you indignant with the bank for this maybe even anti national policy for the purpose of expanding its consumer market. My friends are at the moment cancelling their credit cards with the bank and so are lots of other credit card holders... What's your opinion of that? Should the bank allow illegals to flourish in our country and live here as though their forefathers fought for its independence?

A few words for those with little credit who are on the way of building a strong and stable credit history. It's very important for you to know what to start from - no credit cards, student cards or secured credit cards. All have special features for each individual credit situation. Rememder a good start makes a good ending. And one more thing? there is not the best credit card, there is Your credit cards suiting your personal needs and preferences.

credit nation

Hi... i've recently browesed through the net in search of what they say about credit cards and what role the plastic plays in our life and found urgent necessity to to create a blog on it. The matter is that though credit cards are part of our reality, lots of people are unaware of how to use it and make profit of it... It results not only in debts but in a growing rate of bankruptcy. In connection with it my aim is to provide a location where people could share their opinions and experience on credit card use and my own views are also included...
