Crazy Buy

My colleague seems to have gone mad. He's done a crazy thing - bought a new car on a credit card! Well, I do believe in his strong credit history and responsibility as a cardholder but why use a plastic when he has the cash necessary for the purchase?
The thing is his American Express credit card has a high limit and a lavish rewards program. Dawson plans to benefit from it.
He buys on credit just for the sake of rewards, not because for the lack of cash at hand.
Do you think it is a good idea?

I agree that it's pleasant to take part in rewards programs. But still what for to buy a car on a credit card? Isn't it too risky? Rewards credit cards have its advantages and shortcomings.
